Creative Conference Sessions to Communicate Your Work

This webinar is aimed at meeting a key UCOWR strategic planning goal – Creating a Dynamic Conference Format.
Our conference participants provide the content for the conference each year, but the UCOWR Board wants to provide you with the support to think outside the box and share your research and other topics through engaging, dynamic sessions.
Are you nervous to do something besides a standard PowerPoint? Afraid you don’t have the right creative skills? Don’t think you’re dynamic enough? Put all of that aside and join us to learn about a variety of options available to you for the 2019 conference in Snow Bird, Utah.

2019 Annual Water Resources Conference
June 11-13, 2019 in Snowbird, Utah
Scale new heights as we come both west and up in the spectacular Wasatch Mountains in Snowbird, UT for the 2019 UCOWR/NIWR Annual Conference.
The Conference Planning Committee invites you to propose a Special Session for the conference. A special session organizers' role is to propose a relevant and timely topic, recruit speakers to submit abstracts to the session, and moderate the session during the June 2019 Conference. Special sessions can be in the form of a panel discussion or a group of 5 or more oral presentations (full length or 5 min lightning talks) on a specific topic. Multiple session track proposals are welcome.
Those interested in organizing and hosting a special session should provide the following information:
- Title of proposed special session
- A brief description (less than 350 words) stating the importance of the topic and the rationale for the proposed session
- Session organizer(s), including contact information
- Type of proposed session(s): panel discussion, full length talks (15 min), or lightning talks (5 min) followed by discussion
- A draft list of presenters (to submit abstracts via the general call for abstracts) and their tentative titles.
